What a fabulous transit route from north to south- If you are riding to the south of France form Grenoble, or visa versa, this is your route.
Being an National route, it does carry a fair bit of traffic, but much less than the 85, the Rout Napoleon. If your on a bike, you can usually find ample space for passing.#
you have the option of taking the autoroute for about 30KM south of Grenoble, but this would be a mistake as the 75 that parallels the autoroute is a pleasure to ride
We rate this is an easy route.
