This is one of the most stunning rides I have ever done in terms of Scenery. While not as high as some of the alpine passes, at 1816 meters, you truly feel this is one of the highest places you could ever go with a motor vehicle.
Riding from the north side, you are confronted with what seems like a wall of sublimely beautiful rocky peaks. As you wind up the pass you have hairpin after hairpin with the original cobblestones on the corners- probably not to be recommended in the rain.
Before you get to the summit there are several places to grab a drink or some food- most with just fabulous views.
Your certainly not here for the road surface or the flowing corners, but the route more than makes up for this with its scenery and general feeling.
We rate this a medium difficulty route due to the road surface and tightness of the hairpins.
