The D900 before Apt is just awful! Traffic, strait, farm equipment- just avoid it if you can. A transformation happens after Apt- the road starts flowing, the traffic reduces, and the scenery just gets better and better
There are nice cliff side villages that adorn the whole route, but the this is the road that typifies the French tree lined online slots roads. these trees are so tall, the Romans probably planted them.
Forcalquier old town is worth a stop above the main square there are some nice old roads and a number of good restaurants.
If your in to touring, this is an area worthy of exploring.
We rate this a very easy route. watch out- there are some speed cameras.
