After catching the over night ferry from Ancona (Italy) and arriving in Split (Croatia) I organised a second ferry to the Island of Brac. The ferry docked in the town of 'Supetar' and the next 5 days where spent relaxing and riding around the Island. I departed from the port at 'Sumartin' and the short ferry ride took me to 'Makarska.' From there I rode down the coast to 'Polce' where I again boarded a ferry for a short ride to 'Trpanj'. From 'Trpanj' I headed south to 'Ston' which is famous for its oysters and the 'Walls of Ston' similar to the Great wall of China, only a lot smaller. I then continued down the coast to Dubrovnik.

Editor review

Caught the ferry from Split to the Island of Brac. Only a short trip.
Five days riding and relaxing on the island. The roads were surprisingly good fun. The roads are single lane both ways. Good sealed surface. A lot of twist, turns, up hill, down hill and not much traffic. Great beaches as well.
From the town of Sumartin caught the ferry to Makarska and rode south to Ploce. Its a winding road that follows the coast line through a number of beach towns. You have to be careful during the summer period, a lot of curves and the relaxed tourists pull out in their cars without really looking.
At Ploce caught the ferry over to Trpanj and continued south to Ston. The oysters are great in Ston and it has a well kept secret, that is; The Great Wall of Croatia. I continued south and the road is good all the way to Dubrovnik.
