If you are riding up the Aosta valley and it is clear, this is a very worth wile detour. The ride is good but the views of the Matterhorn ,( Italian, Monte Cervino; French, Mont Cervin) are the best you can get legally in/on a motor vehicle. You literally ride strait up to the southern base of this truly stunning and iconic mountain where you enter Cervinia 2,006 m. It sits in a valley surrounded by high, glaciated mountains and the sheer rock face of the Jumeaux. It shares a ski area with Zermatt in Switzerland. Some of the runs are very long, the longest stretches 22 km from the Klein Matterhorn (in French, Petit Cervin) in Switzerland down to Valtournenche in Italy.

This is a ski resort so accommodation is very easy in the summer and is a great place to overnight. This road is a dead end, so you do have retrace your route for at least ½ of the way down- that casino online is unless you are going to ditch your mount and move to other forms of transport. It spectacular mountain biking for those you like other pastimes on two wheels and also great hiking.

The road gets better the further you go, as the small towns thin and the traffic dissipates. There are some really nice sections of road on this route, but having the Matterhorn making appearances as you wind you way of the valley make this route a special one.
