A small but magical pass road the connects the valley from the top of logo Maggiore, starting from Locarno Switzerland, to the Domodossola region situated at the confluence of the Bogna and Toce Rivers. This is where the famous Simplon pass begins and this route provides a way of avoiding the congestion following the lake south. A real sleeper of a route as it is hardly on the map, but it really delivers.

Starting in Locarno, you wind up though the canyon. What starts out a nice cruise quickly becomes tight ant twisty as you really start to climb. This route is completely tree lined, so many of the corners are blind. Once the big climb is made, things open up オンライン カジノ a bit and the corners become a bit more rhythmic, in fact, downright fun. In 2012 the was some road-works up towards the top of the pass, but this seems to move quickly, at least when we were there. There is a nice lake and waterfall up towards the top giving you a good excuse to stop and stretch your legs. The only town of any size is Santa Maria Maggiore, which has a nice square and a couple of restaurants. The ride down from Santa Maria Maggiore into the valley opens up and is a real pleasure.

We rate this a medium difficulty route.

Great way to avoid the crush further south on the lake.
