The Passo di Pordoi- At 2239 meters, It is the highest surfaced road traversing a pass in the Dolomites. The pass connects Arabba (Livinallongo del Col di Lana) with Canazei (Fascia Valley) This pass makes up the southern leg of the Dolomite magic circuit (Passo di Gardena, Passo di Sella, Passo di Pordoi , and the Passo Campolongo). Given this route is part of the magic circuit, traffic can be quite heavy during high season, especially during the middle of the day. If you can manage to sneak on before or after the masses, you will enhance your riding enjoyment. This route is just stunning. For this review we are riding west form Arabba. There are 33 hairpins winding up though this ski resort to the online slots summit. You duck under chairlifts all the way to the top, where you will find a cable car that will wisk you up to the top one of the peaks if you have that desire. The western ramp has 14 hairpins with some lovely sweepers running down the valley with Dolomite monoliths poking up all over the landscape. Most of the route is quite wide, at least for an alpine pass and has great surface. The road has pretty good visibility, which gives you good passing opportunities. We consider this route medium difficulty.
