A highly popular A road between Italy and Austria. This road carries some heavy traffic the further south you go- In fact, the final 40 km or so into Bolzano is one of my least favourite roads in the world. But if you want to get across the Trentino valley to The Dolomites, you just have to live with it.
OK, let’s not dwell on the negative and head north into Austria. You pick this route up casino online either coming off the Stelvio or the Ofenpass. Certainly compared to the Passo di Stelvio, this route is something "completely different". Wide open corners, lots of straits, good surface- just a few to many camper vans on the road- but, you can blow by them fairly quickly as the road is wide and open. This is an easy riding road with some beautiful scenery to boot.
