A great little road that just meanders up another Swiss alpine valley. It is a dead end, so you can’t really ride this as part of circuit, but if you just want a good ride without traffic, you have arrived. We ended up taking this road by mistake on the way up to the Spurgen pass, and it was one of the best rides of the trip If you are on the Autoroute, exit on 26 marked Barenburg. Turn up the mountain towards Avers/Juf.

This is a great flowing route up a river canyon. Since this road dead ends, it’s virtually empty, so you can ride at your own speed. Nice flowing corners, nothing too tight. The surface is great for most of the ride, but we confess that we didn’t ride it all the way to the end. Scenery, your typical alpine valley; absolutely stunning. This is route is really worth a ride. If you are heading to the Spurgen after, we would suggest staying off the motorway and using the B13, as this is a very beautiful ride.
