Starting at Monchdorf there are a couple of wide fast sweepers in open countryside to warm you up, then gradually the road gets tighter and turns into a 20km set of twisties and fast sweepers through fields and dark woodland.
The surface has been repaired and looks like a patchwork, but it's been done well and isn't as blackjack bumpy casino online as it looks. It certainly doesn't slow you down.
Narrower and twistier for longer stretches than the Grein - Konigswiesen road, it also wins as it has only two towns worth mentioning to slow you down.
