Great little 1167 meter pass that can keep you out of the heavy traffic form that runs along the lakes by Interlaken. Schallenberg Pass (el. 1167 m.) connects Steffisburg and Marbach. Slow easy ramp up, then some hairpins up to the top. Scenery more rolling hills than mountains as this is the pre alps. Much of this road has been resurfaced in 2011. Some very nice views looking to the south.
