Leaving the dreaded A9 at Dalwinnie, the road quickly starts to get interesting. Following the twists, turns and undulations of one of General Wade's old military roads you'll be having fun before you join up with the A86 when the main event - the road along the lochside - begins. Starting in forest and then opening out to casino online great views of the loch, the road is fast and flowing, with an excellent surface and general good visibility.
Things to watch out for: Great views of Loch Laggan the mountains, and slow right down for the small villages.

Starting in Invergarry you take smooth, fast flowing A-road all the way past Eilean Donan castle turning off and gaining altitude on the tighter road over to Lochcarron. Bealach na Bà - "The pass of the cattle" is one of the few true alpine style mountain passes in the UK. Very tight hairpins with high drops to the side take you to the summit for some fantastic views of the Isle of Skye on a clear day. Descend into Applecross and have a meal and a drink at the very hospitable Applecross Inn.
